" The best advice I've found is don't look down "
the basics,
»»character full name: Acedia "Sloth" Tristitia Socordia
»»age: Sloth doesn't care, he lost track long ago
»»sexual orientation: Heterosexual
»»Alignment: Neutral
»»Position: Lord of Despair and Sloth
»»Magic: Sloth is an umbrella term for several sins folded into one. Because it is such a broad topic Sloth affects people in various ways. He saps energy from their body, making them sluggish, and provokes thoughts of despair, listlessness, and occasionally thoughts of suicide within those around him. Sloth's domain is large and because of it he has various options on what he wants his victim to feel. Though the energy sapping portion of his power seems to be the most favored. Besides this control over Despair, Sloth is also able to manipulate the elements of Earth and Darkness.
the appearance,
»»eyes: Silver
»»markings: None
»»height:6'
»»weight:180 lbs
»»general appearance: Sloth is, like most demons, designed to attract his prey to him. He has a pleasing appearance that draws them in closer so that his powers make take affect. Dense muscle cover his body and are capable of bursts of energy most wouldn't expect from the lazy demon lord. It is unknown how he stays in shape while lounging about all of the time. Sloth's appearance varies from time to time. Whenever he is forced to be active by his siblings the boy dresses in fine charcoal grey suits with black pinstripes. These are usually offset by white shirts and black ties. Though, when he is given some free time he tends to dress as comfortably as he can often wearing jeans, heavy black boots, and various hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts.
the personality,
»»likes: Sleep, Night, and Music
»»dislikes: Being awoken, morning, and noise
»»strengths:
-Cunning: Sloth is incredibly intelligent being able to concoct plans that allow him to avoid work and avoid most conflict. Though, he has also proven to be a quick thinker on the battlefield as well often meshing his elements together.
-Competent Swordsman: Who would of thought it? Sloth, in his boredom actually learned how to do battle with a sword. He is very skilled often being able to dispatch various opponents at once.
»»weaknesses:
-Driveless: Sloth has no drive and as such does not want to do much of anything. Because of this his more elaborate plans fall through due to laziness and his siblings often find him laying around when they are attempting to form a plan.
-Uncaring: Sloth doesn't care for much which adds to the fact that he allows many things to pass by him. Very few things can light a fire under him to get him moving of his own freewill.
»»secrets: Sloth doesn't care enough to have any secrets. He finds them too troublesome.
»»general personality: Sloth is almost exactly like his sin. He is very lazy never wanting to do something unless he deems it fun and even then he often loses interest in it very quickly. Despite his boredom he is usually a very cheerful person often smiling despite having nothing to smile about. He very rarely losses his trademark grin and is often considered the prankster out of his siblings, something he does in an attempt to cure his eternal boredom. His relationship with his siblings is... odd. Sloth genuinely cares for the other six and loves them in his own perverse way yet stands apart from him. Unlike his brother Pride who can be swayed from either side Sloth is firmly rooted in Neutral territory due to the fact that he doesn't care.
the history,
»»mother: Unknown
»»father:Unknown
»»siblings: Pride, Lust, Envy, Greed, Gluttony, and Wrath
»»others:N/A
»»background: Sloth remembers very little of his background. He barely remembers his siblings though he knows that they are related as some strange bond keeps them bound together. He does have the vaguest of recollection of his father though. Some dark figure lording over him when he was nothing more than a toddler dispensing what he can only assume to be a punishment. His memories start at roughly the time when the kingdom was split in two. Back then he had even less interest in the world. Though at that time when the war began he grew interested.
He often observed on the sidelines sometimes swaying the battle by forcing his powers upon another side robbing them of their energy and causing their more influential members to have a very tragic... end. Though his interest, like always, wained and he lost interest. Until his siblings set their sights upon the elven kingdoms. With their renewed interest he was forced to go back to work sabotaging battles so that they went in their favor. Their plans are unknown though it is obviously evil. Sloth, however, again lost interest in their machinations and left them all to their own devices only offering help when they were truly in need. Out of them he is the only one that is truly neutral and he has decided to remain that way out of pure disinterest in the events that are transpiring around him. However, if the need arises he will side with whatever faction will allow him to maintain his lifestyle.

Discretion was one of the many things that Nokogiri had gone without learning in his nineteen years of existence. Growing up under the care of three demons who made their living as bandits one typically went without learning the finer points of conversation. It wasn't as if Nokogiri had ever needed tact anyway. The boy had always assumed that he would spend the rest of his life living in some forest and pillaging any nearby towns or passerby that he came across. He never would have imagined, let alone foresaw, that he would be captured by a group of bungling demon slave drivers and be forced into servitude. Then again, who really thought of such things? When his master, now known as Sayuri, stopped walking he was puzzled. Unsure of what to do he stopped beside her. It was another thing that he regretted doing that day. With very little warning the smaller woman grabbed him by the collar of his kimono and yanked him down so that he was eye level with her. That action alone was enough to irritate Noko, besides being as weak as he was it almost sent him toppling to the ground. The words she spoke next elevated his status from being merely irritated to pissed off.
Nokogiri peeled back his lips revealing his pearly whites and let out a deep, throat rattling snarl. It was an expression most wouldn't have expected from a human, especially one that looked as if he should have been in some noble household but, again, when you were brought up by a trio of demons you tended to take after them. Sayuri would soon find that the boy had many traits that were similar to that of a demon most of them learned over a period of seventeen years, some that were just naturally bred into the boy. While she was still close to him, after finishing her whisper, Noko returned the gesture with one of his own. "I am not your property." Before he could receive a proper retort or reaction he was shoved into the lobby of the inn and forced to stand besides Sayuri as she dealt with the receptionist. Shoving his rage into the deepest depths of his consciousness Noko took this short amount of time to examine the admirers that he had recently been informed about. Looking out the window he spotted several demons looking back at him. He blinked in rapid succession as he looked around, relieved to see that none of the demons in the lobby were among the small fan club he had apparently created. Maybe it was because he had never cared or he was simply ignoring it, but Noko had never noticed that he was such a wanted commodity among demons. He lightly bit at his bottom lip as he looked away from the window and back towards Sayuri. He had looked just in time to see her snatch the key away from the receptionist and then reach for his right arm.
His eyes widdened and his teeth gritted as she grabbed onto it. Even through the leather and wood brace he could feel her touch and the pain it caused him. He bit back a cry of pain as he allowed her to lead him to their room for the night. Noko pulled himself free of Sayuri's grasp as she put him in the room. As soon as he was free of her grip he walked over to a corner of the room and lightly massaged the cursed appendage. Soon enough it went back to it's usual numb sensation that he had become accustomed to since obtaining it. He looked back at Sayuri ready to tell her to never touch that arm. He stopped himself and then sighed. The boy had no intention of telling her his life story and how he came to posses the arm and in turn the sword that hung from his right hip. He removed himself from the corner of the room and slowly walked across the wooden floor the window adjacent to the door. As he stared through it into the darkening streets Sayuri apologized for only being able to get one room. Noko's gaze became icy. You should apologize for treating me like some sort of animal. The words were left unspoken and he continued to stare out the window. "It's fine," he finally said after a few minutes of silence. "It's probably better this way for you anyway. You wouldn't want me running away after you had just bought me." he said as he turned around and leaned against the wall for support.
He watched his master as she sat with her eyes closed. It was obvious that she had something on her mind and Noko, as long as it didn't have to do with him, did not care. As she sat there he took the time to make himself more comfortable. His first action was to rip off the sandals that had been put on him and the socks that covered his feet. He tossed them aside and smiled as he was able to wiggle his toes. His next step in getting comfortable was to remove the pins and combs that held his hair in place. Each one fell to the floor with a soft clatter. Once Noko's hair was unbound he ran his left hand through it and moved his hand wildly, disheveling his raven locks. There were only two things left to do for the boy to be comfortable. Unfortunately it was impossible to accomplish them with the resources he had. To his irritation Noko still smelled strongly of lilacs. He had been exposed to the perfume more times than he cared to admit and he was beginning to feel that he would smell like them forever. The other, more pressing matter, was the fact that the collar around his neck had not been taken off. With his left hand Noko gripped it and tugged on it, almost choking himself with every attempt. He growled when it wouldn't give. "Great, I'm gonna look like some kinda mutt for the rest of my life and to top it all off I'm gonna smell like I've been rolling around in flowers. I'm gonna kill that slaver." he announced as he continued to tug on it. He eventually tired himself out and gave up. He slouched to the ground and looked up at the ceiling. With very little in options Noko spoke up again. "Not to piss you off again, but how exactly do you plan on paying for a slave if you can't afford two hotel rooms? We can get pretty price with grooming, feeding, and housing. I guess if you planned on eating me you wouldn't have to worry about though." he said as he pulled Haru from his obi and rested the sword, disguised as a bokken, on his left shoulder. His face held no emotion as he looked toward her, awaiting a response.
