Harken nodded before speaking up. "I don't think I'll have time to sleep." he said as his eyes glanced toward the floor. He would have to look over all of the changes that occurred, look at the books, speak with the guards, and almost all of the girls before he could enjoy his stay at the Black Isle Tavern. All of that needed to be done as quickly as possible and that meant today. He held in a deep sigh, wishing that he could have helped the girls in a way that didn't have him working more than he already did. In Harken's mind he had already determined that he didn't have a head for business. The only talents he had were a knack for building things and battle. He was soon distracted from his thoughts of self pity as Odell kissed at his scruffy jawline. He grinned and gave her a light squeeze before shifting to look down at her.
"A celebration?" he asked, arching an eyebrow. His metallic hand reached toward his chin, stroking at the stubble that he had accumulated on his ride from his manor. What he should have thought was how much it would cost him, but no, that wasn't the General's first thought. As he often said, he did not have a head for business and thoughts of his income sparsely ever came to mind. "Hm, that sounds like a good way to unwind." he muttered more to himself than Odell. With all of the work he had been putting forth for himself and his country he felt he deserved a nice party and the fact that it was being thrown in his honor only made it better. His rich black eyes glanced sideways toward the woman who was resting her head on his shoulder. She deserved some sort of honor as well. After all, she was the one that had kept this place running while he was away and from what he could see she was doing much better than he would have. Well, if one didn't count today's earlier incident.
His scarred lips pulled back into a crooked smile. "Aye, a party sounds nice. Besides, you and all of the rest of the girls deserve some time to rest and unwind. I'm sure you've all been incredibly busy in my absence. Some probably more than others." he said, referring to Odell and her managing of the Tavern. "You'll have to show me all of the changes since I've left before we can have this party. I'd enjoy seeing the place in one piece before it ends up getting torn apart." he laughed softly at what was his own private joke. Harken knew how he got when he was drunk and he knew how, to put it bluntly, idiotic he acted. He wouldn't be surprised if he awoke with the tavern smoldering around him.

Odell continued to let her hands work their magic. One hand lightly caressing him while the other started to kneed at the skin of his shoulder. SOdell continued to let her hands work their magic. One hand lightly caressing him while the other started to kneed at the skin of his shoulder. She smiled up at him until he spoke about the place getting torn apart and she frowned. "I wouldn't let that happen." She said quickly, her tone earnest. It was true. She'd get torn apart herself before she let anything happen to Harkens investment. She knew how much it was probably costing the man, and truth be told it was costing her too in a way.
Not only was the building important to her because it was his and she was starting to develop feelings for him, but because she wanted it to be her new home.
"Don't worry, we don't party as hard as one would think." She chuckled before moving to sit up. "And very well then. If I’m going to show you around then we'd best get to it. We're well into the day now."
With a yawn she stretched, reaching her hands upward and feeling her spin crack a bit. Her head rolled back and she tossed her red hair over her shoulders before moving to get out of the bed and begin dressing... he smiled up at him until he spoke about the place getting torn apart and she frowned. "Oh, well I wasn't worried so much about you and the other girls as I was worried about me." he said with a soft laugh, laughing at his own private joke. Harken was prone to acts of violence, rashness, and incredible stupidity once he was sufficiently drunk and his usual terrible tendencies were magnified ten fold once he had drunk himself into a semi-stupor. He wondered if Odell would be able to handle him when he was past the point of fall down drunk. For a moment he considered that he should control himself for the most part. After all, he was trying to keep a secret from her and the rest of the tavern and alcohol had a tendency to loosen even the tightest of lips in sufficient quantities. He held in a sigh as he decided he would have to cut back and not even drink a half of his usual amount.
Tonight would truly be a test of his strength. He glanced toward the woman at his side and smiled. Well, as long as he knew that she was going to be by his side when he laid down next he wouldn't be so sore about forgoing his usual vices. He'd already given up sleeping around, what was giving up a few drinks here and there for a woman who could elicit emotions he never thought he'd feel, emotions he'd never felt before. As she got up to get dressed he felt himself cling to her playfully in an attempt to keep her in bed. Some how she managed to slip free of his grasp and he chuckled. It would probably be for the best if he got dressed as well. With little hesitation the General pushed himself up from the bed and found his clothes. Several articles had been found in odd places. His eyepatch was hanging from a lamp, dangerously close to the flame that flickered within the glass container and his pants had some how managed to be tossed halfway out the window.
His mind went back towards what had happened and he found that it was nearly impossible to focus on who had thrown what where. He shrugged the thought away as he tidied himself up with the efficiency of a man who had been in the military for most of his life. Within mere moments he was dressed and his drab clothing was pressed against him in the neatest possible manner. There was one thing that could be said about Harken, when it came to certain things he was the cleanliest person you would ever meet. He toyed with the plate mail that covered his sleeve to complete the illusion that it and his hand were one large strip of armor he wore out of habit.
"So," he began, leaning up against the doorway. "Should I be aware of anything that might completely shock me before we start our tour?" he asked. He wondered how she would react when the men started showing up with lumber and tools who wanted to expand the tavern. That was just another thing he would have to keep secret from her.
