"Wheeee! Hahaha! Wheeee!" A young child was up and about in the early morning of the mansion of sins. Ira ex Abyssus was up again, bright and early as usual. It was always a mystery how the child managed to get up early even though he never got a proper night's sleep due to nightmares (unless he became too exhausted to dream at all). His arms were outstretched as he made airplane noises down the hallways in his favourite penguin costume, although penguins neither flew nor made airplane noises.
"Pppppffffffffff!!! Pffffffffffff!!" He grinned widely as he 'flew' around the other halls, awakening the other sins up with his noise and joy. "Morning, morning, sun rise!" He giggled as he spun around a few times, enough to have to make him stop before he made himself too dizzy. The little sin of Wrath seemed just like any other six year old this morning, the sun shining on his red hair and reflecting his smoldering eyes, his inner rage hiding beneath his endless happiness.
"Breakfast breakfast!" That was the next thing he said as he continued making his airplane noises into the kitchen, hunger urging his little body to seek out foods. He was curious to see if anyone else had woken up yet- more than likely not- Ira's siblings were all adults and were all slow like adults. It was only the young sin of Wrath that seemed to have much energy these days.
The only exception of course was Prideful, the mother figure to the child. He peeked into the kitchens, red eyes seeking the familiar figure of a mother who was in fact a male. "...Mommy?"

An hour earlier:
Pride rose early. The maiden in his bed only stirred slightly from her drug-induced slumber. Pride rarely brought women home unless they were acceptionally beautiful and unless he could get away with keeping them sedated. He didn't want to deal with them while they were awake unless they were in the throws of love making.
He threw on a soft pink, silky, robe with feathers draping around the collar and on the edges of the sleeves, and emerged from his suite, running his hand over the door the lock clicked into place so if the girl did happen to wake she would be locked in.
As Prideful moved gracefully down the hallway his long hair swayed from side to side. He spotted the door of his adorable son and a smile touched his lips. Without a sound, he opened the door and peeked a head inside. Wrath seemed to be in the middle of one of his nightmares. Pride wouldn't wake him, but he thought perhaps that morning he'd make one of the breakfasts that Wrath loved so much...
An hour Later:
'Mommy?'
"Baby! Good morning!" Pride turned away from the stove where pots and pans boiled and good smelling food came from the oven. There actually wasn't anything in the pots or the oven, in fact breakfast sat already on the table.
Pride had broken into Gluttonys secret stash of knowledge and on the table sat the best dishes from all over the world, including the ones that hadn't been invented yet. Crepes, pastas, broiled meats, soufflés, hamburgers, and fried twinkies were among the delicacies.
Pride beamed as he walked over to his child with open arms before reaching down and swooping him up into them, covering his little face with kisses, "How did my darling, darling boy sleep?" He cooed.
There was no one Pride adored more that Wrath (well thats not true, there was one other) and ever since the beginning of his existence Pride had taken Wrath under his wing and been a mother to him. Lately Pride had been rather busy, what with seducing the Dark Queen and then raping her Archmage and all. He figured he owed some quality time to his son...

If Wrath filled the role of the lovable and mischievous youngest and Pride filled the role of the adoring mother in this odd family of Sins Sloth's role was large and generally undefined, much like the sin he represented. His role differed if you were to ask any one member of the family but one there was one constant in each of their testimonies: the demon was lazy. As the laziest of the Sins Sloth was rarely seen up and about and was typically found asleep in his room at all hours of the day. Specifically the wee hours of the morning when almost everyone else was asleep. Usually, from that point onward, he would remain asleep until roughly four in the afternoon. Today, however, that sleep schedule was ruined. A certain little penguin had felt the need to run through out the house making a ridiculous amount of noise that could have easily woken the dead.
Sloth's eyes crept open, dark with rage, as the noise died down, yet remained audible. He pushed himself out of the padded hole in the floor he called his bed and ran his hands through his hair. Even enraged he knew that he had to dress and straighten himself up before appearing in front of his siblings. Living with three females and a Pride forced one to appear their best at all times or else face their wrath. As Sloth tided his black mass of hair into something more manageable tendrils of darkness flitted about his room shoving things aside as they looked for a pair of clean clothes for the demon to wear on this early morning. The entire process went about rather quickly and within only a few moments Sloth was dressed in his usual fashion. Tattered jeans and a sky blue tee shirt were all that he wore today, finding little desire or energy to search his room for anything else.
The lethargic man walked through his mess of a room with only the sureness of it's creator could have. His door, always unlocked, was pressed open by the strands of darkness that Sloth so often used to manipulate things when he felt no energy to do it himself. He poked his head out of the room to catch a glimpse of his youngest brother flying down the halls in his usual costume. Sloth let out a deep, deep sigh as he allowed the rage that had a hold of his heart to creep back into the silent recesses of his mind. Sloth could never stay angry at the young Sin. He found it much to difficult to do and besides, he rather liked the youngest one. He always had something interesting to do or say which was why Sloth was usually so eager to watch him. That and Sloth's ability to sap the energy from the boy had proven a useful tool when ever he became fussy.
Sloth rubbed the back of his head and then yawned as he set one bare foot onto the carpeted floor of the hallway and followed behind his brother, his footfalls as silent as both of the elements he commanded. Sloth didn't creep so much as move silently, a gift the other Sins found odd for him to have, if they knew of it. Sloth moved down the hallway and through the stairwell before arriving at the kitchen only to catch the scent of food. His mouth would have watered if he could have found the energy to do so. He figured that Gluttony was up preparing what he so often called a light snack. Though, in truth, Gluttony's idea of a light snack was a feast for most. He pushed open the door to see neither hide nor hair of his beloved brother. He did, however find the source of the noise and another.
He walked forward and placed an affection hand a top Wrath's head. "Morning, little guy." he said, casting a lazy smile toward him. His silver eyes shifted slightly so that they met with the golden eyes of the other. "Mother," he said in a less than playful manner. Prideful and Sloth typically never got along well. An earlier altercation between the two had left them at ends with each other and made their meetings awkward and at times volatile. Before any action could be made Sloth whisked himself toward the dining table where he took a seat, crossing his arms over his chest. "It's rare to see you up and about making breakfast, brother." he said as he looked toward the window to avoid any unwanted eye contact.

"Mommy!" The child happily ran to and was scooped up by his mother figure, giggling in pleasure as his face was peppered with kissed and he tried to return his own, although sloppy and lacking the refinement of his older sibling. Perhaps many centuries down the line Ira would learn how to have the dexterity of his older siblings- but, being Wrath, more than likely he'd sooner learn how to more easily destroy than learn self-control.
Then his mother figure asked how he slept that night. Like all nights, he had twisted and turned, trying to get away from flames licking at his scaly skin in his dreamland, where he would be running on hot coals seeking a place to cool his feet, splashing once-cold water on his face only to have it turn into scalding lava. Hands without bodies ran to him, ripping his limbs off if they caught him, forcing him to crawl on his belly as the blistering heat burned away his skin.
However, to this question he smiled and placed his face to Pride's neck, inhaling his scent and feeling happy. "Ok." This was a lie. The whole family knew, the boy knew hell like the back of his penguin glove. While he was old as a demon, he was new as a sin and lacked the human memories to pack down the memories of where he had come from. He would never have a restful night in his long-life for centuries to come, when human memory after human memory slowly drew away the knowledge of his homeland to the recesses of his own mind, all but forgotten.
Then his big brother Sloth walked in- surprising when the youngest sin figured that his slower older brother would not be seen for days on end, too lazy to get out of his own room, and only in the afternoon after a full night and morning's rest. Ira squirmed out of his mother-figure's grasp to go and greet his brother with a good morning tackle, his little body clinging onto his brother's clothes before slipping off and receiving a pat on the head for his troubles. Of course, he wasn't fully aware that he had been the cause of his brother's being awake- if he was, he would've apologized profusely.
"Food time!!" His voice was loud for a little child- it would prove useful when he let out his roars of anger whenever he got mad. For now it was merely an irritant. His small body climbed up onto a chair and sat down, gazing hungrily at the many foods offered and reaching over to grab at a bowl and scooping some cheese and meat onto some bread, making himself a sandwich for breakfast- of course, having forgotten that sandwiches were not normally a breakfast food. He still had yet to get his meals down pat, after many decades of living on the surface world.

Prideful laughed and enjoyed every kiss from his little love. With one final kiss on his mouth he released him to go maul Sloth. He chuckled, feeling in a very good mood now just by being in the childs presence. Even Sloth couldn't rain on his lovely morning, he was far too happy feeling like a mother.
"Hello." He chimed, fixing a plate for the little boy, piling candies and foods of all kinds on it. He set it down in front of the boy even while he made a sandwich for himself. "Now now baby, use your utensils." He cooed before tying a napkin around Wraths neck.
He sat beside the boy and poured himself a cup of coffee. Yawning, he flung his hair over his shoulder and leaned forward onto the table, resting his elbows on it and not minding in the least how his robe gaped open in the front, exposing his chiseled and flawless chest.
"I couldn't sleep." Pride said, "I'm surprised to see you up and about at all. Don't you usually sleep during this time of the... week?"

The sound of a child’s wildly shrill cries pierced her ears and Lust automatically knew the commotion was caused by Wrath. Opening her almond-shaped eyes Lust sat up in her bed and stretched, sleep immediately draining from her body. With a swift motion of her hand she had tossed the bedcovers aside and stood on the hardwood floor, searching for her emerald robe made of the finest silk. Off in the distance she could still hear Wrath’s excited shouts and a soft sigh burst through Lust’s lips, slender fingers rubbing her temples.
Spotting her robe delicately draped over the back of a cushioned chair she slipped it on and tightly wrapped it about her waist and strode over to the door. But before her hand made contact with the golden knob she froze and gazed over towards the mirror inspecting her reflection critically; her hand swiped through her thick, black curls and with a smug smile she deemed herself appropriate and left for the kitchen. Softly Lust padded down the hall as she did her best not to wake up the others though she doubted any of them were actually asleep due to the intensity of Wrath’s happy howls.
Lust stepped into the kitchen with her hands placed on her hips as she observed the food spread out across the table, the rich aromas emitted from the cooking caused her mouth to water slightly. It appeared as though someone had broken into Gluttony’s food secrets. She arched an eyebrow when she noticed Pride but said nothing and chose to instead make her way to the table, giving Wrath a wink. “You seem to have plenty of energy this morning,” she murmured softly pulling out a chair and wincing as it scraped against the floor. Silently she wished she herself had more energy and was extremely surprised that Sloth was awake and functioning.

(hope its ok to butt in here if not then i will delete the post)
Greed unlike most of her other sins liked the mornings that was when on the stalls were cheaper and even if she wasn't planning on going into the village she would get up early just out of habit. She stood outside her home watching the various humans go by almost not looking at her yet when they did they would quickly turn away. No one knew exactly why they should be scared of them but for some reason most people knew that it was smart to follow their instincts and stay away.
She laughed to herself before walking back into the house where a multiple series of smells hit her nostrils, she could smell some of her favorite foods yet could also smell some that she had never before smelt in her life. Greed had a feeling that Gluttony was cooking again as she had heard someone in the kitchens earlier that morning yet to her surprise it seemed to be Pride. Her jaw dropped for a couple of seconds until she contained herself and sat down. "You can cook? He can cook?" she asked Pride and the rest of the sins all at the same time "Well i guess he can cant he?"
At that point she noticed Wrath her youngest sibling by looks anyway, she smiled gently at him before looking at the table to see who was actually there. She only currently saw Sloth and Lust meaning that Envy and the person that she expected most to be there Gluttony were absent. Frowning slightly she began to speak "Little one you've grown" she told him gently "Lust so good to see you and Sloth up so early what happened your bed burn down?" A grin appeared on her face making her stare down at the table to try and hide her laughter, she wasn't being mean she was just stating a fact. Sloth hardly ever saw the mornings or mid mornings if he could help it.
The female reached over to a burger which she grabbed with one hand and began to eat then noticed how she was behaving like Gluttony and placed it on her plate. "So sorry, I just happen to be hungry that's all" she told the small group of siblings "Could you pass that white yellow stuff there shaped all twisted like, it looks simply amazing, what do you all that stuff?" Greed was pointing at the pasta of course yet had never had it before thus had no idea what it was called.

Sloth laughed as the youngest of the demons charged at him, wriggling free of their dear brother's grasp. Wrath clung to him for dear life. Sloth, using energy most never saw, hoisted the boy up into the air before setting him down on the ground. He released him and grinned as he zoomed away toward his seat. Sloth sat back in his chair with a look of mirth in his eye. Not long after his small display of motiviation two more of his siblings showed up. His sisters, Lust and Greed, waltzed in one after another. Greed making a snide comment and a look of astonishment playing across Lust's lovely visage. Coupled with Pride's question that made two inquiries which irritated the demon. The mirth vanished, replaced by a listlessness that only one of Sloth's nature could summon.
"Yes," Sloth said, putting a smile on as he looked toward his brother. "I'm actually not supposed to be up for another day or so." he said as his silver orbs glanced over the food that had been prepared. "As for why I'm up," he added as his eyes went from the food to Greed. "A certain tiny terror woke me from my usual slumber." he informed them as he leaned his head against his knuckles and let out a deep yawn. The feelings of drowsiness rolled off of Lust causing Sloth to feel them in kind. Sloth often found the drowsiness of others to be quite tiring. Though, everything was tiring to Acedia. Following Greed's command Sloth reached out with dark tendrils that lifted the plate into the air and then sat them before her.
He glanced over to her and gave her a lazy smirk before looking back at his other siblings. "Excuse me if I just sit here. Eating is so tiresome I'd rather not waste what little energy I have on it." he said with another yawn as he partially closed his brilliant eyes. "So," he began, plotting to throw some chaos into the works to make this breakfast more interesting. "How is everyone doing?" he asked, knowing full well that several of his siblings would jump at the chance to talk about themselves and ended up making the dinning hall a torrent of words and, if worst came to worst, arguments. Sloth could live with it, as long as it was entertaining of course.

Pride sipped his coffee, glad to see everyone seeming to enjoy themselves. Occasions like there were rare, and he wondered how long it had been since there were this many of them all together and no one going at each other’s throats. It was probably because there wasn’t actually all seven of them there. And the two that seemed to have the most tension were Pride and Sloth and Pride wasn’t really in the mood to fight. Especially in front of his baby. And Wrath.
Speaking of his baby, his eyes sparked to life even more when Lust graced them with her presence. He remained still but his eyes followed her form. After their last meeting, Pride had grown desperate, so much so that something twisted was starting to grow inside him. Like a hawk watching its prey, his mug remained touching his lips as he delicately held it in his long slender fingers.
As for Sloths question, Pride did not respond. He had no desire to start spouting off long sentences about himself. He was Prideful enough to not flaunt his life in front of others. Besides, it was rather inappropriate to speak about most of it in front of the child.

Ira happily tucked in, abandoning his strange sandwich for whatever his mother offered. He was a growing boy and it was no surprise that he could devour a good amount of food before feeling full. He was trying to stuff a sausage in his mouth when his father figure walked in, a woman of beauty and elegance that attracted the eyes of his mother figure time and time again and so Lust became known to the child as a father. After all, it was only natural that whatever his mother was attracted to became his other parent as well. He grinned and leaped on the table, not thinking about to consequences as he hopped off again.
Luckily, food was rattled but nothing was thrown off except for a few stray pancakes. Of course, the child took no notice of this and went to greet his father figure, hugging Lust's elegant leg quite happily and enjoying whatever attention was brought to him. Then his big sister Greed wandered in right after, probably awoken by the same noise that had awoken his other siblings- himself. Usually he was not so hyper in the mornings, usually spending his nights too afraid to sleep and eventually he sought the warm and comforting body of one of his siblings in the early hours of night. Because of this, it was rare to see him awake and lively in the mornings. Usually it was by mid-morning that he was awake. By then, all his siblings (apart from his laziest brother) would be awake. However, he found himself sleeping in the chambers of Sloth he wouldn't be awake until his sibling was, out of his influence.
Soon his little penguin mitts were wrapped around the leg of his other sister, smiling up at her happily and letting go as she seated herself and began to eat as well. Sloth seemed too tired to eat again today, he wondered briefly if he could feed the man himself. That'd be fine, he enjoyed being fed, it made him feel spoiled and happy. He was quick to give his mother-figure one last hug before climbing underneath the table and onto his chair again, pushing his dish away to sit on the table edge and he grabbed a bit of egg, spooning it clumsily onto a sliver spoon and making airplane noises again.
The sin of wrath brought the spoon to his lazy older brother's lips. "Breakfast!" He grinned happily, feeling a bit silly at the fact that he had felt the need to feed his older brother in a way he was normally given attnetion to. Of course, as to whether or not this attention was well received depended on if Sloth had the energy to open his mouth, chew, and swallow. Ira didn't think of that, nor did he think of the rather comical way he was treating his lazier older brother.
"Here comes airplane, Vroooooooom!"
...Had airplanes even existed yet...? Perhaps his memories of hell also included other things, of what was to come.

Her flesh began to grow warm as an odd sensation, that of being watched, coursed through out her body. Glancing out of the corner of her eyes Lust noticed the eager expression that was slyly painted across Pride’s face, a smirk tugged at the edges of her lips. As she settled herself into a chair a small child darted forth off of his own seat and latched on to her leg, hugging the limb tightly. Laughing affectionately Lust extended a hand and gently ran her fingers through Wrath’s hair and gave the boy a pat on the head. “Good morning dear.”
As Wrath released his grasp on her leg Lust looked up at her adult siblings and politely nodded towards them. “Oh I’m alright,” Lust began answering the question Sloth had asked them all. “And you all?” She reached out and snatched a teapot and carefully poured herself a mug of lavender tea, the sweet and rich aroma filling her being with comfort. Lavender was her favorite scent and could almost immediately calm her down.
“It’s a pleasure to see you as well Greed,” she stated eyeing her sister, a soft smile on her face instead of the smug smirk she had previously worn. “How wonderful is it that almost all of us are here, together, and nothing has burned down yet.” She chuckled lightly at this and took a sip of her warm drink, the heated fluid somewhat of a shock and Lust swiftly began to feel more awake. Turning her head to the left she gazed out at the window and sighed softly.

"Wrath woke you? You poor man" she told Sloth with a smile and went to pat him over the head across the table. Sure she was taking the pee but they would know that she was joking or at least she partly was anyway. "Oh Lust trust me hell could break loose yet" Greed added setting her hand on fire for a couple of minutes allowing the flames to dance before extinguishing them in her palm. The female remained silent until she heard Sloths question simply bringing her to life.
She grinned proudly, shifting her weight slightly to get more comfortable. "I'm wonderful brother how kind to ask. I wasn't the other day however thats all forgotten now. Did i tell you about the other day when we had an intruder oh wait you were with me." she said quickly letting out a quick laugh until starting to speak again "Ah but did i tell you about the time when i bought oh never mind we were all there. Pride you seem quiet how are you?" Greed couldn't help but smile as she asked her brother how he was, she was getting good at the whole being nice thing although she wasn't going to stay that way towards humans.
"Now this food is great, i don't know where Gluttony gets all this stuff from i have to ask" the female muttered to herself frowning after wards "Airplane? What are they Wrath?" She hadn't heard of them whatsoever and to be honest the thought attracted her a lot "Where do they sell these things, what do they do?" Greed looked at her little brother with a large devilish grin which she always produced when she saw something that she want which was this airplane.
The female sin looked down at her food again yet shook her head she was far more interested in what Wrath had said as often he didn't say anything that interesting which was a shame really.

To Sloth's dismay none of his siblings took the bait, well almost none. Greed had snatched it up without a moments thought and was already sputtering on about what she had been up to all morning. Sloth listened with some interest as his eyes wandered around taking more interest in the appearance of the food then how it would taste or feel in his stomach. Eating was just one of the bothersome things Sloth never really had time for. Besides, why should he bother to eat when he could much more easily sap the energy from some poor unsuspecting human who just so happened to ran across the indolent Sin? Sloth's eyes returned to Greed as she mentioned their small hunting trip they had. He let out a soft chuckle and then smiled at her. "I remember. Poor woman." he said, his eyes taking on a dark tint at the mention of his prey.
They wouldn't remain that way for long, however. As Sloth was about to let out another yawn his youngest brother was jumping in front of him presenting him with a spoonful of some odd delicacy. Sloth narrowed his eyes as his brother began to make odd sounds and move the spoon closer to his mouth. Once it was within reach he bit down on the spoon and snatched it from his brother's hands. He wasn't too worried about the taste of it and barely noticed it as he reached out and grabbed a hold of his brother. He grabbed him beneath his arms and then stood, hoisting the child high into the air. "As I recall," he said, his voice muffled by the spoon held in his mouth. "I'm supposed to feed you like that, not the other way around." he said as he tossed the boy and then caught him before setting him down on the floor.
What he had just done was something none of the other Sins would have expected from him. Sloth rarely moved so quickly or so fluidly. Usually they never saw him move much as he often allowed things to be brought to him. Then again, Sloth never had a reason to move like that unless he was playing with his youngest brother. If Lust filled the role of father and Pride the role of mother that left Sloth filling various roles; one of them just so happened to be the fun loving older brother. Sloth was the one who always seemed to take Ira out on strange excursions to the elven world. Something Sloth knew would irritate Pride to no end if he ever found out about it. With his brother back on the ground Sloth sat back down and resumed his position.
"Oh come now Greed," he said, as he took the spoon from his mouth and held it carelessly in his left hand. "You know Ira enjoys rambling on about nothing. The boy just probably made up aero plains or whatever it is he called them." He allowed himself to lick the contents of the spoon before looking toward Lust and letting out a soft chuckle. "We could always remedy that." he said as he cast a sideways glance toward the stove that Pride had just recently been using. The coals and embers within it still glowing hot.

There was a sudden whoosh and a clanging sound. Faster than one could blink, a knife had spun through the air, barely missing Sloths face and instead grazed his ear. The weapon still wobbled in the wall where it was deeply embedded. It had come from Prides direction, although he sat as he did before, gingerly sipping his coffee and looking down at the table top. His gaze remained downward to hide the slight tint of malice there.
Pride had been sore with Sloth pretty much... since forever. But he was especially sore with him as of late for interrupting his time with the Dark Queen. Not to mention his interference with raising Ira. If he had his choice his little brother wouldn't have any part of his babies life. But that wasn't a choice Pride had unfortunately.
Finally he raised his gaze up to Sloths, his eyes narrowing and turning dark with a silent threat, almost daring him to do something in return. Not that either of them could actually kill the other. The most they could do was damage their surroundings. And even though Pride wasn't really in the mood to fight, especially since he wore his favorite nighty robe, he still wanted to remind Sloth of who was supposedly boss and who was the strongest of the sins...
