Why she would be granted with a beast still was a big question that needed to be answered. She wasn’t brave and there was no way she was able to fight like the most that had been before her. Alice was following the way many others had walked before her and it felt so powerful and pure. They just have told her to go were her mind would guide her, and that she would find what she was looking for: Her beast. It was the main reason why she was trying to keep her mind blank as she was following a small path through the forest. It was like a voice was telling her which way she needed to go and she never had felt so calm before in her life. The twigs under her light sandals were breaking with every step she was making and it was the only sound that was sounding in the forest. No animals, no insects, no other sound then the steps she was making. It felt so unreal, as if she had made her way into another world that is completely from the one she knows.
Then suddenly the sound of water was sounding up in her ears and a voice inside her mind was telling her to go to. Without realizing which way it was her feet guided her closer to it. The sound of the water was getting louder and when Alice came closer she saw the sudden change of the landscape. From a forest she had walked into a small paradise on earth. A lake that was too big to swim through was covering the ground and as an open field the sun was reflecting on the water. Making it sparkle. There were flowers in the grass that were unknown for their name but there were so many beautiful colors. For a moment Alice completely forgot why she was here and kneeled down in the grass to pick up one of the flowers. A light purple flower that had the size of a rose, but the petal leaves were more fragile. As the sun was shining on this fragile piece of art it was like it was shining through it, covering the surface of it in tiny little crystals. It was so beautiful, and Alice almost regretted that something like this wouldn’t last forever.
A voice inside her head was telling her to go on, only this time it was like a whisper that was hanging in the air, so soft for the ear. The noble elf stood up as she looked around. She already was here, were does she needed to go. Was she lost? This wasn’t the right place? Confused she looked around. This was the perfect place and yet it was not the place where she would find her beast? She made her way closer to the water, watching the surface too see if there was something inside the water. “You really should try and look better.” A voice sounded in her head. Again it was so peaceful and soft. Alice looked around again and when she turned more to the right, which would face her back to the forest she saw she wasn’t alone. Looking at the creature that was half hidden in the woods she did a step away from it. As an answer on that the creature also did a few steps closer to the elf, revealing its size and look. It was looking like a dog, an extremely big dog. She forces herself to stay where she was. If this was her beast then she did not needed to show any fear. But how did she knew it was her beast, before it was too late? Standing there without moving the creature came closer and closer as it made his way to the elf on an elegant yet proud way. It tilted his head as it looked at the female. Alice couldn’t understand it that she was facing a dog, without the needs of looking down. She just could look it in the eyes. It really was huge. “I have waited for you,” the voice sounded in her head again, and Alice saw how the eyes of the dog were revealing the emotions of happiness. It was this creature that had helped her on her journey. It had guided her to this place. “You were the one who talked to me in my head?” Alice said as she looked to the animal. “Yes, it is part of our connection.” “Connection? Please tell me everything. I have so many questions.” “Everything on its time, you will learn about me as I will learn about you”. Confused Alice looked into the eyes of the creature. “Your questions will be answered, but not yet. All you need to know now is that my name is Sadron, and I’m your beast. You’re my rider.”
Alice smiled as she heard those words in her mind. So it was true, she really was ready to become a rider and this really was her beast. Even Sadron, her beast, had fate in her. If everyone was believing she was worth it, that she could do it then maybe it was time for the elf to believe it self too. She was ready. They still have a long way to go, and this is only the start of a dangerous journey, but she knew that with the help of this mighty beast she could win from many dangers.
