What was he doing? He didn't have any idea. All Jamik knew was he hadn't been able to stop thinking of the pretty blond with dark eyes ever since their meeting in the market a few days prior. And he didnt know why he couldn't just walk up to the door, knock on it with some flowers, and ask for her company. But nooo, Jamik had to sneak around in the bushes outside her house, trying to get an idea of if she were even home or not.
'What are you doing!?' Ginnys voice came into his mind as she snuck around behind him. Even though Jamik could crouch down Ginny's scaly back couldn't get low enough to the ground without being seen.
"Shh" Jamik said aloud. Carefully climbing upward to peer into one of the windows. "I just want to see if anyones home..."
He knew it was a stupid idea. He knew what he would look like if he got caught.
Ginny started to panic. 'Jamik! Jamik something coming! Somethings...' Stomping through the bushes she took off in a run away from them, making Jamik topple over. She ran around in a circle before ducking her head under her tummy and curled her tail around her. She looked like a giant, trembling rock.
Jamik blinked up at the sky, wondering if someone really was coming or if Ginny had been overreacting again...

Alice wasn’t home when Jamik was sneaking around her house. She was out training with Sadron in the woods. After that fight with the dark queen she had decided she did needed to train more to defend herself and her creature from any harm. The training mostly was for her beast to get faster and more agile in avoiding attacks, like herself. Other than doing really harm. Her painted dog, wasn’t really the type to fight, only when his master was in trouble but other than that he also preferred to run away. When Jamik had decided to sneak around her home she just was on her way back home.
Sadron raised his self as he pointed his nose in the air to smell a scent that was familiar for him. Alice looked up at him curious about what he was doing. “You’re okay?” She asked. Other then speaking to him in her mind she preferred to talk to him. She knew her creature couldn’t talk so she was getting used of his voice in her mind. Also she started to learn his features. The way he looked, and how he was acting was enough for her to know how he was feeling. This time he spoke at her with a soft voice in her mind. “There is someone.. I recognize the scent.” “ What?” Alice said as she looked around, scared of something of someone that would jump out of the woods behind her. “Were?” Again the calm voice sounded in her head and it annoyed her how calm he was. “At our home.” He said. “Really? Who..” Alice said as she tried to see who there was, from the distance she just couldn’t see it. Yet she could see a blue thing close at her house, it was quite big. “Who is that?” “ I don’t know I don’t recognize the scent.” He said as he pointed his nose in the direction of the blue creature. Even from this distance he could see what it was. “A dragon.”
Alice started to walk closer in the direction of her home. “A blue creature and a scent you recognize?” She asked again as she tried to force her eyes to look further then what she was seeing. “How can you see it from that distance? I see nothing.” No matter what her creature said she started to walk faster. If it was true what Sadron said, that it was a dragon, that it was blue and the scent he recognized.. Linking up the pieces it could only mean one thing. That conclusion made her point in the direction of her home and smile. “Go. Please check if my conclusion is right.” She said, not making any movement to climb on the back of her creature. Instead she started to walk in the direction while her creature started to run. She first wanted to be sure if anything was safe.
As Sadron was approaching way faster then her she saw how the blue creature moved away and seem to curl up into a ball, trying to make it as small as possible. It only made her chuckle as she noticed the dragon still was big enough. When Sadron was close enough it stopped near the dragon, poking it with his nose before it let out a few soft growling sounds. Then it turned his head up to see Jamik standing near the wall. He barked once as a welcome and then looked around him to see if Alice was close enough to notice that he was here. Alice did had noticed it and a big smile was noticeable on her face as she made her way closer to the small group. “Hey. I haven’t expecting you.” She said. If she had known he would come she sure would have think twice before going out for training. “I hope I didn’t let you wait long.”

Jamik was getting to his feet when he saw the Beast tromping in his direction. He smiled and dusted himself off before climbing out of the bushes. Giving a shy wave, he tried to not look as silly as he felt. His grin large and foolish. He tried not to be so self-conscious about the scars on his face.
"Hello Sadron." He said, before patting him on the head. He then looked up to see a beaming Alice come towards him and all thoughts of the way he looked dropped from his mind. Instead he grinned a smile as bright as hers and walked towards her.
"Hello." He managed to say, looking down on her.
Ginny's head peeked up from over he backside and sniffed the air before she uncurled and padded her way over to the other beast. She blinked and tilted her head curiously. She was a little bigger than he, large enough for one or two riders, but still a rather smile dragon.
Wishing he could have come up with a better reason for why he was there. Instead he just said, "I... wanted to see how you were..." Then an idea came to him, "A-and Ginny wanted to meet you." He turned to indicate the beast.
Ginnys head picked up at the sound of her name.
'I did no such thing.' She mused, noticing the way her master looked at the pretty elf girl.

She nodded once as she smiled. “I’m fine, but I’m glad you here.” She said as she turned her attention to him. She had stared at the rather large dragon and couldn’t really imagine that this creature only was a small dragon. That a normal dragon maybe would be twice bigger than this one didn’t even pop into her mind. “So this is Ginny?” She said as she looked back from Jamik at the dragon. “She is quite large.” She said a bit insecure as she looked up, comparing the dragon with her own beast. Alice wasn’t quite a fan of large animals. The tension was felt by Sadron as he started to growl softly at Ginny. It was his way of telling that he noticed Alice didn’t really liked Ginny, but not because of the way he was thinking. Alice looked up at Sadron and raised her hand. “Don’t worry, nothing is going to happen.” With those words being said Sadron calmed down and laid down, letting his head rest on his paws as he was sure to keep an eye on the dragon. “I’m sorry.” Alice said, excusing herself for Sadron behaving. “Sometimes he is a bit overprotecting.” That only had been worse after the fight with the dark queen, but that was information she preferred to keep for herself. Especially because she still did not knew much about the man in front of her.
She walked to her door and opened it. “Please come in, it is not the best weather to stand outside.” She said before she looked at the dragon again, noticing her house maybe could be a bit too small for two persons and two beasts. But she did not wanted to be rude and offered them all to come in. “Watch your head.” She said with a joke mentioning the size of Ginny.

Jamik nodded quickly and followed. "Yes. But she likes to say she's rather little. Its pretty useful for sneaking around the battlefield.
Ginny pulled back and her ears lowered when the dog beast growled at her. Her eyes got large and she pulled back but after he'd settled down on the ground she walked over to him and licked the top of his head with one long swipe of her tongue before following Alice and Jamik into the house, squeezing herself carefully through the door.
Inside, Jamik looked around. It was a smaller home than his own... much smaller. But it was cosy and sweet. The feminine touch was there and he appreciated that.
"Do you live alone?" He asked.
He had a small notion that it wasn't appropriate for him to be in the building alone with her. It was unsightly for a lady, however he really wanted to be in her company.
"To tell you the truth..." He squeaked, "I-I came by to because I wanted to see you again... are you really glad i'm here?"
He followed close behind, he looked down at her back, enraptured by the way it curved. She was so beautiful, he wondered if she knew...

“Yes. I do live alone.” She said with a blank voice, not really showing any emotions about it. She did not even knew how she needed to feel about it. Did she need to be sad or happy about it? She had lived alone most of the time and she now had the company from her beast, but she had never known anything else. “It is peaceful.” She said with honest as she turned around to look at Jamik. “Yet it makes me feel lonely sometimes.” To have a beast as company wasn’t the same as the company of a human being like herself. It did surprised her when he said he had come to her home to see her, and that he was asking if she really was glad to see him. “Yes of course.” She said surprised, not understanding why he had any doubts about that. “I like it when you are around. From that day we met I miss you every moment you’re not here.” She said as she avoided looking at him this time. Normally Alice was not that shy, but there was something about Jamik that made her shyer, mostly because he was shy too. It made her more aware of herself and what she was doing or saying. That she needed to watch every step to not make him shy even more. Not really sure if it was a smart move she moved closer and folded her hands around his. “I do enjoy every moment when I’m around you, so please don’t be worried about that. There is nothing more that I enjoy more.” She ignored the comments of her beast in her head and she mentally hoped he was not going to snarl or bark because of it. Because she was thinking that Sadron understood he needed to be quiet and moved to his space in the corner. The wooden floor was covered by a blanket, it was his place to rest and even now he was keeping an eye on the two humans he laid down with his head on his paws. For a moment he acted like a real dog.

Hearing her say she was glad to see him made Jamik want to hug her. But he just continued to smile and follow her.
He sat down in a chair glancing towards the beast that seemed to be a little miffed at his dragon and him being there. Ginny padded along, sniffing curiously at random things.
"It's not safe for a lone woman to be on the edges of town like this." Jamik said matter of fact. He leaned over to put his hand upon hers. "If something were to happen to you because of it... I don't know what i'd do."
He glanced over at Ginny in thought. "Perhaps... perhaps I could have someone come and live near here. Do you have a barn nearby or somewhere perhaps a guard could bunk? I know a few former militia men who could use the money..."
He hesitated, "Or... or maybe you could spend some time in my family manor?"
Jamik didn't know what his father would say about this. But there was plenty of room and servants. At least until the war was over he could offer protection for Alice...

It surprised the female that this man really seem to care for and most of all he even seemed worried about her for living here alone. For her it was just normal and she never really got bothered by unwanted guests. She was perfectly fine. Alice smiled as she sat down next to the man in a seat, leaving only a small space between them. "People don't seem to have problems with the fact i'm living here", she said she looked at him with a smile on her face. He was offering her a place to stay. She did realize that a manor like his, a place that protected a whole noble family was saver then this little house of her located between a forest and a village. Both on dark ground. But living with him would mean she would leave this house. Alice had lived here for many years she couldn’t think how it would be without.
She stayed quiet for a moment as she stood up and looked around. "I don't know". She said with a soft voice that revealed her emotions. "It would be so different". But what option did she had? Having a guard around her every day here would only annoy her and she wouldn’t feel more save with it. Alice turned to her beast. "What do you think?" In her mind he answered that he did wanted to see where he was living and his tail was wagging by the idea of it. Alice nodded once before she looked back at Jamik. "I’m not sure for how long but maybe it will be wise to have a safer place then this. at least until the end of the war." with that answer she could always decide to go back to her beloved home.

Jamik watched her carefully, not moving. He wondered if he was out of line. The last thing he wanted was to make her uncomfortable with him. Even so the between the two kingdoms was growing more and more intense and dangerous for the commoners trapped on the edges.
When she said she would stay at least until the end of the war he smiled and stood. "Wonderful... I um... I just need to make a few arrangements, have the servants clear out a few rooms for you, and then we can help you move your belongings." Perhaps he was being rash.
"That is... if that's what you would like." He took her hand in his, "I will be going away for a little while but I should be back before the Queens ball. And I can help you get settled before then." He looked down on her, his eyes catching hers and he held his breath slightly. She was so pretty. He didn't think he'd ever seen a woman so beautiful.
Ginny got tired of looking around and walked over to the big dog beast thing. She sniffed at him before settling down beside him like one puppy cuddling up to another...

A smile appeared on her face as she saw how happy he was. She on the other hand wasn’t quite feeling so happy about the whole idea. Mentally cursing on her beast that he had mentioned that he would like to see the home of another noble, caused him to look up and bark. Alice looked down at the dog as she asked him about it in her mind. It a short time they exchanged a few words. As he explained that Jamik would be very happy if she would go with him and that it was obvious she liked him. Refusing an offer like this only was foolish. Alice smiled once before looking back at Jamik. She had noticed how happy he was, and she noticed she also was glad when she saw him smile. Guided with mixed feelings she listened at Jamik who said he needed to do a few preparations for her so she would go with him. “I don’t want to be a bother, so please don’t overdo it.” She said with a chuckle as he was talking about the servants who needed to prepare a few rooms for her.
“I don’t really have much stuff that I need to bring with me.” She said as she looked around. The furniture she was having here was perfect for the house but it would look old and simple in a huge manor. Plus she wanted it all here for if she wanted to go back one day. It would mean she only had some clothes and a few precious items she wanted to bring with her. It maybe would fill one suitcase. Everything was going quite fast, faster then she really wanted, but if things needed to happen anyway then she preferred it to be like this. So it all was behind her before she knew it. Sadron heard her minds and came closer as he rested his head on her lap, looking up at her and his calming words in her mind were enough for her to not feel sad. The view from her beast acting so much like a dog made her chuckle and said with a laugh in her tone. “Silly beast.” Then she looked back to Jamik as he was talking about the ball. The ball? She completely had forgotten about that and when he said it again she started to blush by the idea of it. He was going away, just as she was moving in? In his house? That would be so awkward. The idea of being alone in a house filled with servants and people she did not knew made her feel uncomfortable. Yet she knew that he needed to do what he needed to do. And she had said she did not wanted to be a bother for anyone. So instead of already panicking about things that aren’t even happening she should calm down and see how everything would evolve.
She sighed once before she smiled again, calming herself down. “It sure would be strange to be there without you.”

"Oh don't worry." Jamik said quickly, worried she'd change her mind now, "I'll show you everything there is to do, and the markets not far away, and we have a nice library. Scholars from all over the kingdom come to study in it. There's a lot to do if you like to stay busy."
Jamik wasn't the type who liked to keep busy all the time, sometimes he'd go find a shady spot and just day dream, but his father liked to call times like that 'lazy business' so he tried not to do it too often. He looked around the home and frowned again, “I just hope while you’re gone the war doesn’t reach the edges of our Kingdom and it is damaged at all.” He looked back at her quickly then, “Not that I think it will. The queens army is strong where as the Dark Queens is new and probably inexperienced. I think that’s the reason for the truce. The dark queen must have seen she could not possibly win…”
His words trailed off as he thought of Andee, she was so different now, and his heart hurt a little to think of how she’d changed into the shadow of herself….

Alice wasn’t worried about it that she maybe couldn’t keep herself busy but more because she would be alone in a strange surrounding. At least she knew she had Sadron with her to keep her company. Yet she smiled and nodded as she hold his both hands. “I’m really glad we met that day, on that moment. As if it.. was meant to be..” She said. She knew how classy it was sounding but it felt so right. She knew things always were happening with a reason. Fate really was something to believe in.
She turned away from him one moment as her mind was distracting her from this whole topic, but when Jamik said that he was worried if this house maybe would get destroyed by the dark army she looked back to him with a shocked look on her face. But before she could say anything he said that the army guided by the Queen of Light was stronger then it’s enemy, but it didn’t made her feel relieved about it. She knew how strong the Queen of Darkness was. She had felt her powers. Compared with hers Alice was quite weak.
Jamik’s voice seem to fade away as something was forcing him to think of something else and Alice looked at him with worry as she saw how his eyes were revealing an emotion of pain or disappointing. Without realizing what she was doing her fingers touched the skin of his face, the scars were covering the soft skin with a hard tissue, but it didn’t seem to bother the female. She was smaller than him and she looked up at him as she stood close to him. “You’re okay?” She said, noticing her voice was soft as a whisper. While she looked up at him, trying to study his face as if she wanted to try to read his mind, she did noticed how close she was at him. He was so handsome and it made her feel like she never had felt before. She wanted to be with him every moment of her time, and if she wasn’t she missed him all the time. Even Sadron started to get bored of it as he was able to hear all her thoughts were about Jamik. He now was wise enough to think of something else, as it was paying more attention at Ginny, the blue dragon of Jamik.

Jamik took her hands in return, squeezing them lightly in his own. He smiled down at her, "I quite agree with you Alice. I only ended up in the market that day because my servants were unable to go. I honestly don't spend much time there, but yesterday I found myself enjoying the simplicity of the place." He looked around at her home again, finding it also pleasant.
"You're not simple though, I want to know more about you, everything about you Alice. What is in your mind, what your dream about." His hands slipped past her hands to rest lightly on her waist. "Where you've come from?"
He felt her touch his scarred face and suddenly he flinched and pulled back a little, reminded of how he looked. "I er... sorry." He said quickly, "I'm just..." He raised a hand to his own scars and covered them absentmindedly, "I should go..."

Alice looked confused at Jamik. She had no idea a simple touch like that could cause such an reaction. As the male backed away from her she. Reached out for his hand to prevent him to go away from her even further. "There is no need to be ashamed of it." She said with a soft and caring voice. "It does not matter how you look. I like you anyway. Besides those scars makes you how you are now. No matter how you got them. No need to be ashamed." She said again as she moved closer to Jamik as if she was approaching a scared animal. Before she had touched his face everything had been fine. He even seemed to be so relaxed and then she needed to ruin that moment.
So instead of going on about a subject that seem to have left his marks far more deeper then just on the skin she decided to answer his questions. Alice also made a mental note that she did not needed to touch him like that without a warning. "Were I come from?" She repeated his question giving herself some time to think. "My family is of noble blood but as far as I knew we never had slaves or servants that did our job. We always had lived separated from any other creature. I think it is something in our blood or genes that make us like the isolation. I do know that a long time ago my family always kept hidden for the humans and beasts." She stopped for a moment as she tried to remember more about the stories her mother always told her. "We are travelers. It's in our blood. You could say we are nomads. Living a simple life in peace and balance with the nature." She chuckled once as she started to speak again. "It is already strange I’m here for such a long time. But I just don't want to leave anymore."
"I met you and the fact I have a beast to care for made me decide to stay here."

Jamik gulped and slowly calmed down. He still had to keep his hands from shaking when she took them again. He stared down at the beautiful girl feeling like a toad looking at a swan. He nodded slowly and listened. "It's interesting. I haven't heard of any nobles who were not an intimate part of the court..."
He shrugged then, "Not that it matters. As long as you're of noble blood you're fit in just fine in court and at the ball. You're still planning on coming right?"
Noticing that the sun had started to fall in the sky he smiled, “Would you care to take a stroll with me? It shouldn’t be too hot now…”
Realizing he’d blown off her comment about his scars he quickly said, “I’m sorry. I’m just self conscious I guess about my scars. If they were like General Harkens scars I wouldn’t be so ashamed but…” He shrugged, “They’re not from battle. Just from a stupid accident that happened when I was a boy.”
Looking away he chuckled slightly and glanced at her, trying not to blush. He was slowly not to feel so stupid and foolish in her presence. But even with the Dark queen and with the Whore at Black Isle Tavern Jamik hadn’t felt like this. Like he needed to be perfect just so this girl wont decide not to like him anymore…
