It was a moonlit night and the shadows along the area of rushing water illuminated the shadows, making it fairly difficult to remain unseen. However, Jamik was pretty stealthy and even though he wore armor he made no sound. That was probably due to the fact that this was Elvin armor, the best there is and the lightest.
Jamik tread step by step, closer to the water source, his weapons remaining at his hips. He didn’t feel any thread and if any came upon him he was pretty skilled at moving quickly. That was how all Light kingdom Knights were trained, to move fast and skillfully, be more on the defensive side of a battle rather than the attacking one.
Sounds from the nearby trees caught Jamiks attention. He crouched down a little and waited. As whatever it was drew closer he could tell it was big, bigger than him in any case, and he put his hands upon the short blades he fought with. Unlike a lot of the Elves he preferred blades to arrows.
He prepared for battle, when suddenly through the trees a large, blue, gleaming creature appeared. His eyes widened and he stood up fully. The sleek and slender form of the beast and its graceful movements told Jamik instantly that it was a female creature.
They’re eyes locked and the blue scaled beast strolled over to him, her wings flapping. Her large face came down to his level and blinked. Her eyelashes were long as well and Jamik couldn’t help but feel he was being flirted with a bit. He raised a hand and it touched its nose to his fingertips.
“Jamik! I’m so glad you’re here!” A young, feminine voice spoke. It was vibrant but soft and instantly Jamik grinned.
He’d found his beast and she was everything he could have hoped for…
